Plastic injection moulding at Sachin GIDC, Surat
The group's plastics division is a custom injection moulder at Plot No. 872, Road No. 84, Sachin GIDC, Surat. It moulds plastic parts and products to customer designs, from a drawing or a sample, and provides mould-making assistance with moulds sourced from India or China. Current lines include ACDB and DCDB enclosures, plastic products for RO water-treatment plants, and plastic toys.

Injection moulding capability
The unit runs 8 injection-moulding machines of 120 to 350 tonnes and holds 48 moulds in-house: 20 single-cavity, 8 multi-cavity and 20 family moulds. 10 pad-printing stations and 3 supervised assembly lines follow moulding. The division plans to expand to 24 machines covering 80 to 650 tonnes.

Any plastic part that can be injection moulded can be made to order. Custom, OEM and private-label enquiries are welcome.
Materials and regrind
Raw material is virgin-grade ABS, PP, PC, GPPS and PVC. Runners and rejected parts are reground on the unit's two grinders and reused in-house.

How an order runs
Drawing or sample
Work starts from the customer's part drawing or a sample, with the material and expected quantity.
Mould
An existing in-house mould is used, or a new mould is sourced from a tool maker in India or China.
Moulding
Parts are moulded on machines of 120 to 350 tonnes from single-cavity, multi-cavity or family moulds.
Printing and assembly
Where needed, markings are pad printed and parts are assembled on supervised lines.
Inspection
Each batch is checked against the approved reference sample before packing.
Packing
Approved goods are packed and prepared for dispatch.
Custom moulding and mould development
The division moulds parts to customer designs, including OEM and private-label work. Send the part drawing or a sample, the material and the expected quantity. Where a new mould is needed, the division provides mould-making assistance: moulds are sourced from tool makers in India or China and taken through to an approved sample.
